Stephano John is a Library Officer at Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) under Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He is responsible for System Administration, Computer Maintenance, conducting training(s) on Digital Repository, E-Resources and Reference Management Software. In the year 2013 worked in a team to establish Tanzania Climate Change Information Repository (TaCCIRe) with other members from Ardhi University (ARU), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA). In the year 2014 he was on a team with staff from SUA Centre for Information and Communication Technology to establish Sokoine University Institutional Repository (SUA IR).

He holds a Master Degree in Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) from the College of Business Education (CBE), an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science from the Institute of Finance Manangement (IFM), Diploma in Education (Physics and Mathematics) from Kigurunyembe Teachers College. In 2014 he attended a short course on Lib@Web International Training Program at Antwerp Univeristy, Belgium. This is the Training of the new digital and electronic libra(r)i(a)ns to manage modern library technologies. He is interested in repositories, digital library and linux system administration.
