  • Qn. I have forgotten my user name and password for accessing online journal through LibHub Remote Access. Any help please

    Answer

    To login into Libhub remote access you are required to use your SUASIS username and password. In case you forgot it, please contact the SUA Center for Information and Communication Technology to recover your username and password.

  • Qn: How can I register so that I can be able to access Information ?

    Answer

    • In order to register for borrowing books, come physically to the library for registration, you will be assisted on how to register
    • If you want to access electronic resources, you can use Libhub local access to the electronic resources, you are not required to register so long as you are connected with the SUA internet. However, you can still access electronic resources by using Libhub remote access by connecting your private network (e.g. modem internet, etc); however by using libhub remote access you will be required to fill the username and password - use your SUASIS username and password
  • Qn: How can I access journals through libhub?

    Answer

    Visit SNAL website, on quick links select either Libhub local access or Libhub Remote access:

    • To access electronic resources, you can use Libhub local access to the electronic resources, you are not required to register so long as you are connected with the SUA internet.
    • Or you can still access electronic resources by using Libhub remote access by connecting your private network (e.g. modem internet, etc); however by using libhub remote access you will be required to fill the username and password - use your SUASIS username and password
  • Qn: How can I access material through online?

    Answer

    Online resources (electronic resources) can be accessed through the SNAL website on 'E-books/journals' page where there a list of online resources categorized according to subjects/topics.

    Also, visit SNAL website, on quick links select either Libhub local access or Libhub Remote access:

    • To access electronic resources, you can use Libhub local access to the electronic resources, you are not required to register so long as you are connected with the SUA internet.
    • Or you can still access electronic resources by using Libhub remote access by connecting your private network (e.g. modem internet, etc); however by using libhub remote access you will be required to fill the username and password - use your SUASIS username and password
  • Qn: Is the libhub and TEEAL designed to be unavailable through other sites other than the library and computer centre?

    Libhub and TEEAL can be accessed through the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) website. 

  • Qn: Where are Postgraduate thesis uploaded?

    Answer

    Postgraduate thesis are uploaded on SUAIR.

  • Qn: How can I access LibHub through my personal computer, as it says it is for authorized users only, or students are not allowed to visit LibHub?

    Students are allowed to access electronic resources using Libhub. Visit SNAL website, on quick links select either Libhub or Libhub Remote access:

    • To access electronic resources through Libhub local access, you are not required to login so long as you are connected with the SUA internet.

  • Qn: What can I do if am told to get registered first before accessing to books in the library through LIBHUB?

    • To access electronic resources through Libhub local access, you are not required to login so long as you are connected with the SUA internet.
    • You can still access electronic resources by using Libhub remote access by connecting your private network (e.g. modem internet, etc); however by using libhub remote access you will be required to fill the username and password - in that case use your SUASIS username and password
  • Qn: I am trying to access HINARI without success. Please help!

    HINARI resources are linked and can be accessed through Libhub system

  • Qn: Is there any payments to attend the announced studying session about the use of lib hub?

    No, the training on information literacy including how to use libhub is free. For more information please visit the library.

  • Qn: I am trying to get access to libhub remote access but I couldn’t

  • Qn: LIB HUB does not respond when I login using my ID and Password

  • Qn: How can I find journal articles concerning a particular subject let’s say "human resources management" on linhub?

    You can access online/electronic resources using Libhub local access or Libhub Remote access:

    • To access electronic resources, you can use Libhub local access to the electronic resources, you are not required to register so long as you are connected with the SUA internet.
    • Or you can still access electronic resources by using Libhub remote access by connecting your private network (e.g. modem internet, etc); however by using libhub remote access you will be required to fill the username and password - use your SUASIS username and password
    • On the search menu type the keywords of your choice and then click search you will get the results
  • Qn: Help me on how to access thesis and dissertations from Vet.

    Theses, dissertations, and research reports of any discipline can be accessed through SUA Institutional repository (SUAIR). Follow this link to access them: http://www.suaire.sua.ac.tz/.

    Follow this procedures:

    • While on SUAIR  page,
    • check on Communities on SUAIR,
    • select the College of Veterinary and Medical Sciences,
    • then select the department to view the dissertation submitted under the respective department
  • Qn: How to reset password in lib-hub if forgotten?

    To reset your SUASIS username and password, please visit Computer center you will be assisted

  • Qn: How to search for books from SNAL?

    Answer

    You can access library materials in the following ways:

    1. Printed books can be accessed through library catalogue. While you are in the catalogue type the keywords of your choice to select the book you want, then copy down the 'call number' (e.g. SF 105.A67) of the book so that you can locate it on the shelf. 
    2. On SNAL website there a number of electronic resources under 'e-books and journals' page listed according to various topics, you will be able to see some databases with electronic books listed under multidisciplinary resources - free e-books
  • Qn: How do I get access to information in HINARI. I wanted to download a book suitable for teaching my course (FT 102 Food Biochemistry) but I was asked to log in. I Failed to do so. Could you kindly inform me how to go about it?
