Jabir Abdallah Jabir is Principal Library Officer at the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He was at Periodical Section dealing with E-Resources. Currently he is the incharge at SMC Library. Jabir also extends his experience and expertise to SUA-TV where he does the production, editing and presentation of news and other programs including issues of health and society. He also edits and design to a number of SNAL and SUA publication including newsletters. Recently gained more experience in E-resources marketing and E-learning and Problem Based Learning (PBL) techniques.   He holds Master degree in information studies from the University of Dar es Salaam and received a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) in Mass communication from Muslim University of Morogoro (MUM). Jabir’s research, teaching and consultancy interests centers mainly on library science and management, digitization, mass media/Journalism and library, information literacy, knowledge management,  information as public goods, new media and electronic media (TV and Radio) and multimedia. He has authored multiple articles published in various media mainly newspapers. Jabir has also carried out a number of consultancy works on establishing of academic libraries, special libraries (mass media) and management of records.
