Ally Abdul Ngowo worked at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) as Senior Human Resource and Administrative Officer at both the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) and at the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). Currently, he is working at The President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance (PO PSMGG). He holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management (2013) from Mzumbe University; and a Bachelor of Public Administration degree in Human Resource Management (2008) from Mzumbe University. As the Senior HR&AO at SNAL and ICE, Ally is responsible in Maintaining all Staff Database, Preparing HR Reports, Administering OPRAS exercise, Maintaining Staff All Leaves, Assessing the conducts of the Academic activities, and Assisting HR&A Department in providing HR Guidance to staff, ensuring staff clear Job Descriptions, Human Resource Planning, Guiding and execution of Annual HR Action Plans, Conducting Staff Training Needs Assessment, Guiding and Administering Staff Recruitment exercise, and attending to administrative matters. His research interest is on Competency based - Human Resource Management Functions such as Human Resource Planning, Recruitment & Selection, Training & Development, Performance Management, Talent Management, Human Resource Management Policies & Procedures, Time Management and Labour Relations at workplace. He is competent in Managing Human Capital Management Information System (HCMIS-LAWSON Version 9). Also he is computer literate specifically in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
