Theofrida J. Maginga was an Assistant Librarian at Sokoine National Agricultural Library that is also a university library for SUA. Currently she is working in the Department of Informatics and Infomation Technology. She holds a Master Degree in Information Communication and Communication Science and Engineering from The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology and received a bachelor degree (B.Sc ICT) from Stefano Moshi Memorial University College. Ms Maginga’s teaching and research area is more focused Information and Communication Technology and specifically on Software Development and Management. She has developed a tool for predicting the sowing period for vegetable crops, called AGROTOOL (www.agrotool.tech). Ms. Maginga has authored two journal articles on the ICT - Agriculture area that can accesses on Google Scholar and Research Gate and besides that she is participating in projects including ‘Development of Horticultural Extension Support System for small holder farmers’ as a Project Innovator and Geospatial and ICT capacities in Tanzanian Higher Education Institutions (Geo-ICT) as a researcher.
